About Eliran Bar-El

Eliran Bar-El is a PhD candidate at the Department of Sociology, University of Cambridge. His research interests center on the sociology of knowledge, ideas, and intellectual interventions. The title of his research thesis is Positioning the Intellectual: Žižek as a Sociological Phenomenon. He is a translator in the philosophy series for Resling Publishing, where his translations include Slavoj Žižek's "Demanding the Impossible" (2013), "Antigone" (2016), and Terry Eagleton’s "The Meaning of Life" (2007). He is also co-founder of "Critical Masses."
