About Pieter Adriaens and Andreas De Block

Pieter R. Adriaens is associate professor at the Institute of Philosophy (KU Leuven). He works on topics related to the history and philosophy of psychiatry and sexology. He is also interested in the relationships between humans and other animals, and he enjoys doing public philosophy. Andreas De Block is full professor at the Institute of Philosophy (KU Leuven). His current research interests revolve around philosophy of sex, science and values, and experimental philosophy (of medicine). He likes to collaborate with researchers from other disciplines, and has published with legal scholars, psychologists, economists, sport scientists and biologists. Both authors are members of the Leuven Centre for Health Humanities (LCH²), also at KU Leuven.
