About Mary Dawood Catlin

Mary is an author, historian, pianist, and advocate for human rights and liberties. She is a contributing writer at the American Institute for Economic Research, with publications in numerous other outlets including the Jerusalem Post, the Times Union, the Miami Herald, and the Herald-Tribune. She writes about current socio-political issues; 20th century history; music; and the arts. She is a voting member of the Recording Academy (Grammy Awards), a member of the International Alliance for Women in Music, and a Bösendorfer Artist. She has a master's degree from the Sorbonne (Paris) where she is currently a doctoral candidate in Music and Musicology.
